ALA ONE WEEK E-INDUCTION PROGRAM 2021

The Assam Library Association (ALA) introduces ONLINE INDUCTION PROGRAM 2021 for Library Professionals. The young
professionals who join the office immediately after acquiring the degree do not
have much idea about the actual services to be provided. Librarians are the mostly
single and unique entity in the institution. They have to plan and execute both
as well as offer the services. Therefore, ALA being one of the oldest Library
Association of India feels that there is a need of Induction of our young
professional friends so that their journey may be smoother. The program is
designed keeping in mind the UGC Regulations.
The objective of the program:
- To offer a guidance to newly joined librarians towards the library activities
- To share the problems faced by the librarians and thereby to become a troubleshooting agent
- To motivate the librarians to move further and make them more compatible for the industry
- To maintain a close relationship between the Association and its stake holders
Target Participants:
Working Library Professionals from School/College/University/Public Library/ Research Organisations/Industry.
Mode of delivery:
- The program will be fully online using Video Conferencing Platform.
- There will be 2 (two) classes per day. The time will be 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm

- 18-22 January 2021
- Time: Session I: 6.30 – 7.30 pm Session II: 7.30 - 8.30 pm
Registration Fee:
- ALA Non-Member: Rs. 500.00
- ALA Member: Rs. 400.00
The fee needs to be paid
online. The participant has to provide payment details (UTR/Payment Reference
Number) during registration. The online registration form should be completed
after payment of the Registration Fee. The confirmation of registration will be
done after successful receiving of requisite fee.
